The 28th February saw our swimmers complete their 2nd Triathlon, this tri is our main fundraising event of the year.
32 swimmers tried out Triathlon again, and some for the 1st time. They all swam continuous lengths in the pool for 30 minutes and then transitioned into the sports hall for a range of physical challenges ending with a mass bleep test and our famous ‘One Direction’ dance led by Pauline.
Some highlight achievements:
- A total of nearly 500 lengths swam in the pool which is over 12,000 meters and equivalent to swimming in the Thames from Windsor to Cookham.
- Over 5000meters rowed and cycled in the sports hall.
- And about a zillion goals scored against Dave our ‘5-a-side goalie’!
Every Eel received a medal and a record of what they achieved, and Emma was the lucky winner of a signed by Tom Dean, Swim England T shirt!
Well done to all the Eels who took part and thanks to our fantastic volunteers and parents who helped to make sure the event ran smoothly.
