We took 10 swimmers to the Guildford Gala on 15th November, which was on a Sunday evening. This is the most swimmers we have taken to a gala, and we were delighted with all of their swims. We had a couple of disqualifications but this is how the swimmers learn. It was the first time that Alfie and Jaiden had been to a gala and they both swam really well. With so many swims it was a really busy evening, thank you to Rachel and Nayab who also helped on poolside. Galas are great for the swimmers to attend, it gives a reason for working hard each week, and the rewards apart from medals sometimes, is sitting and chatting to your friends, meeting new ones, and gaining personal best times.
